What I'm doing to address COVID-19:
In full transparency, as of 03/13/2021, I received both doses of the Moderna vaccine. In 2022 I received 2 booster vaccines.

Beginning April 1st, 2022 clients will no longer be required to wear a mask to their appointments. I will continue to wear one while working.
I will also be carrying forth the same stringent disinfecting protocols that I have since the pandemic began.
You are now welcome to come into the lobby and have a seat. But please continue to text me upon your arrival.
**There may be a rare instance that a client with an immunocompromised system may be coming in for an appointment after your appointment. If this is the case, I may ask you to wear a mask during your appointment so that everyone can stay safe and will receive the bodywork they need.

As our communities begin to open up facilities and as service businesses get back up and going, it's imperative that we adopt stringent protocols and precautions to protect one another and the most vulnerable members of our community.
I take my role as an adjunct health care professional very seriously and my first duty is to "first do no harm."
Therefore, it's important for my clients to know that I keep a close eye on news surrounding COVID, and should circumstances arise that I may put them, their families, and myself in more danger, I reserve the right to postpone appointments to a later date as needed.
If this occurs I will give scheduled clients as much notice as I can.
Here are the ways that I'm addressing COVID-19 as it applies to my business.:
-
I am limiting the number of clients I see per working day and spacing these appointments in such a way that allows me to thoroughly clean, sanitize, and disinfect my office, and all high-touch surfaces.
-
You will notice the additional questions I've added to my scheduling software to prescreen for symptoms and to make sure you understand any risks associated with receiving massage and bodywork at this time.
-
I ask that when you arrive for your appointment, you stay in your vehicle (or sit on the porch if weather permits) and text me to let me know you've arrived.
I will text back to let you know when to come in and wash your hands, and I will meet you in the hallway outside the restroom. This reduces the chance of being in close proximity to other guests waiting in the lobby.
-
I will be wearing a mask before and during the entire length of your appointment until after you have checked out.
-
I am asking all clients to wear a mask while we are talking and while face-up on the massage table.
**I will adapt the face rest using a pillowcase to create a pocket below your face so that you can breathe easily while the fabric traps potential particles. - When turning over on the table, I will have you put your mask back on. -
If you are unable to wear a mask, refuse to wear a mask, or experience moderate to intense claustrophobia, it may be best for you to wait to receive a massage at a later time or to see another therapist.
-
In order to keep my comfy fleece pad and foam on my massage table, these are covered with a non-permeable cover made exclusively for massage therapy tables. This, along with the face rest and any surfaces touched are completely disinfected after each session.
-
ALL linens used for the session - sheets, pillowcase, blanket, face cradle fleece cover - are removed from the massage table each session and placed in a closed laundry receptacle in a separate room.
-
After each session, I disinfect all high-touch surfaces, including any tools I've used, my chair, the client chair and table, doorknobs, doors, etc.
-
Additionally, I run a high-quality air purifier, before, during, and after your session.
-
The disinfectant I use is hospital grade and approved by the EPA. However, it is an accelerated hydrogen peroxide formula that disinfects without using harsh chemicals and without odor.
